Criteria
Life grants us many things, be they positive or negative. My belief is that we should resort to a unique rational criterion in order to assess them: would I subject myself to this? Would I subject my son?
But it doesn’t stop at that, due to the fact that our mind can be warped, shaped and molded by our experiences or by other factors.
If I were to enunciate my values, however, I would uphold that freedom is the greatest good, shortly followed by health: no one should be granted the privilege to uproot those two elements from an individual, unless he chooses so.
My conscience is clean, but I didn’t choose to live the life I had, which makes perfect sense from a logical vantage point (who gets to determine their fortuitous existence?)
But yet the end result fairly matters to gauge the events.
